Madhappy

Architect: Copa NYC, PLAYLAB Lighting design for Madhappy focused on reinforcing the brand’s ethos of optimism, warmth, and emotional well-being. EMY developed a layered lighting strategy combining soft ambient illumination, vertical wall washing, and high-CRI accent lighting to ensure accurate color rendering and material clarity across apparel and architectural surfaces. Warm color temperatures and controlled contrast were used to create a calm, inviting retail atmosphere, while discreet, glare-free fixtures maintain a clean visual language aligned with the brand’s contemporary aesthetic. The result is a balanced, human-centric environment that feels both elevated and approachable—supporting comfort, inclusivity, and authentic brand expression.
